Intelligent exterior design dramatically increases the aerodynamics of our BlueEFFICIENCY models, resulting in reduced fuel costs. Some address small details, such as the underbody paneling or a partially covered grille. Others incorporate innovations from the initial conceptualisation of the car. For example, the new E-Class Coupé is one of the most aerodynamic series production cars in the world.
Weight reduction
Enhancements include reduced windscreen thickness, removal of acoustic damping materials and lighter alloy wheels. Along with specially designed tyres, our cars now offer less rolling resistance and friction on the road.
