| Mercedes-Benz has played an important role in the heritage of the JCT600 motor group which was awarded the franchise for the three pointed star in South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire in 2003.
The company actually took its name from a registration plate on a Mercedes 600 acquired by Chairman Jack Tordoff in 1961, fifteen years after the company was formed by Mr Tordoffs father.
Since then JCT600 has grown into one of the strongest and most prestigious privately owned motor groups in the UK representing over eighteen different franchises on 20 sites in Yorkshire and the North East.
