 | Good service begins at home for Mercedes-Benz of Reading following the launch of a unique customer assistance programme.
The Richfield Avenue retailer has introduced ‘Mercedes-Benz To You’ – a complimentary and convenient service that offers vehicle health checks to customers at their home or place of work. It is just one of a number of service measures that have been introduced recently to enhance the standards of care provided to local Mercedes-Benz owners.
As part of the ‘Mercedes-Benz To You’ service, customers are visited by the retailer’s Steve Charlton in an A-Class equipped with a STAR computer. This diagnostic technology assesses whether the car is operating efficiently and safely, whilst Steve undertakes a series of visual checks on the lights, brakes and fluid levels – providing complimentary top-ups if required.
After 20 minutes, the customer is presented with a report highlighting the condition of their vehicle. If there are any problems, a quote is provided and the car can be booked in for repair at Mercedes-Benz of Reading if required. However there is no obligation for any remedial work identified.
In addition to ‘Mercedes-Benz To You’, the retailer has recently implemented two new programmes: a transparent pricing policy in order that customers know from the outset exactly how much each service will cost and what work is included and a reduced cost maintenance plan. Mercedes-Benz of Reading has also signed up to the Motor Industry Code of Practice – a tough new scheme which aims to promote and safeguard consumer’s interests by helping them identify better businesses and encourages companies involved in the servicing of vehicles to raise their standards of customer care.
“We want to demonstrate to Mercedes-Benz owners locally that when it comes to looking after their car no-one takes greater care than a Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop like ourselves,” said Andrew Greaves, Group After Sales Manager.
“Whether they are already an existing customer or someone who may not have used us before or for a while, it is our wish to make sure that all are completely satisfied with their Mercedes-Benz and their ownership experience in general,” he added.
“Mercedes-Benz To You is just one of the many complimentary schemes that we offer and we’re confident it will appeal to customers,” concluded Andrew. “We firmly believe that they will appreciate the convenience and the peace-of-mind that comes from having their vehicle checked by an official Mercedes-Benz retailer to manufacturer standards.”
