See the 1886 Benz replica in our showroom

It’s not only the latest high-tech models that are generating huge interest in Greenoaks Mercedes-Benz of Reading’s showroom at present.

We are currently displaying a replica of the world’s first motor car – the 1886 Benz tricycle – which was bought at auction by the group.

Powered by a single cylinder, four-stroke engine, the two-seater developed 3/4hp and returned a top speed of 8mph – a far cry from the descendants it now appears alongside.
