Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham gave new meaning to the term ‘fund-raising drive’ when it staged a fun-packed family extravaganza to launch the new C-Class at the weekend.
The hugely successful event provided customers with their first opportunity to get behind the wheel of the sensational Mercedes-Benz saloon but also generated funds for Oliver’s Army – a local charity supporting children suffering from the rare terminal illness adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).
Throughout the day, the NG2 Business Park retailer ensured that there was plenty to keep guests entertained and enthralled – whatever their age.
Mums and dads sampled a selection of models from the C-Class range, which consists of five engine choices initially and three model options – SE, Elegance and Sport.
Mercedes-Benz drivers of the future were kept amused via an array of attractions, which included a bouncy castle, Scalextric and giant games. A magician, balloon modeller, face-painter and Punch & Judy Show also proved extremely popular.
Youngsters had the chance to scrum down with members of Nottingham Rugby Club too. Players from the Green & Whites attended through the Club’s support of the Oliver’s Army charity.
Carole Merry, Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham’s Dealer Principal, was delighted that the event and the new C-Class received such a fantastic response.
“Customers were impressed with the C-Class’ sportier styling, its powerful yet more economical engines and its advanced features such as the pioneering Agility Control Package with selective damping system, which automatically adjusts the suspension to the road for optimum driving enjoyment,” she said.
“The C-Class’ arrival and the additional entertainment ensured that a good time was had by all and a successful day culminated with a raffle that raised £xxx for Oliver’s Army.”
