Fitted as standard in the new M-Class, the 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission with Direct Select steering column gear selector and steering-wheel gearshift buttons adds a new level of comfort to driving the M-Class. The transmission registers whether you are cornering, driving uphill or downhill and adjusts the gearshifts accordingly. The M-Class responds more sensitively to a calm driving style and more dynamically if it's sporty.
The gears can be selected using the selector lever mounted on the steering column. To shift down through the gears manually, you can simply tap the gearshift buttons located on the back of the steering wheel. |
