In the new M-Class you don’t have to spend your time concentrating on finely balancing brakes, transmission and acceleration in order to make it safely down to the valley. Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR) takes care of that for you. At the touch of a button the M-Class will maintain a set downhill speed. And if you are starting off on an upward incline, the hill-start assist ensures that the brakes aren't released until you step on the accelerator.
For comfort on sporty drives, the Direct Select steering-wheel gearshift buttons allow fingertip gear changes. You can also opt for the AirMatic package: with air suspension and the adaptive damping system (ADS), it makes a bumpy road as comfortable as a race track. |
