Sensors fitted to the vehicle for the Brake Assist system and ESP® programme are utilised to detect potential danger, and the following measures are taken in the moments preceding an accident: |
 | Electric windows and the electric sunroof are closed - leaving a small gap | | Seat belts are tightened | | The front passenger seat is moved into a position that offers the best protection (only in conjunction with memory seats - optional equipment on all CLS models, standard on CLS 63 AMG) |
