Distronic Plus is an innovative and sophisticated cruise control system available as an option on the new S-Class. Operated via the multi-function steering wheel, a series of radar sensors around the car measure the distance of cars or other objects in front and on each side of the vehicle.
The onboard computer adjusts the brakes and acceleration automatically in order to maintain a constant distance between you and surrounding objects, when a collision threatens the driver will be warned by Pre-Safe® both optically and acoustically. Through a speed range of 0-124mph the brakes and acceleration are adjusted automatically meaning, if necessary, the vehicle will even be brought to a standstill.
From motorway driving to stop-and-go traffic, the Distronic Plus system offers drivers a more relaxed driving experience. |
