This is because, in addition to the independent suspension all round, the air suspension for the rear axles (standard for the Ambiente) uses automatic level control to maintain optimum weight distribution for the best possible traction and steering - in all situations.
Air suspension also makes loading and unloading that much easier, as it lets you raise or lower the Viano’s rear floor by up to 2 inches (50mm) at the touch of a button.
