Warren Brearley, Managing Director and Anthony Murphy Sales Manager have both been recognised for outstanding achievement in the Sytner Group annual awards for 2008 performance.
Sytner Group is the largest prestige retail motor group in the UK, with 130 dealerships nationwide; there are fourteen Mercedes-Benz retailers in the group alone. The UK based Group is a subsidiary of American giant Penske Motor Group, Chairman Roger Penske flew in to recognise the Group achievements at the annual conference held at nearby Millbrook.
Anthony Murphy was awarded the top Sales Manager of the year award, recognition of performance and team management, beating off competition from 200 managers in the Group and forging ahead from the short listed twelve. Warren Brearley picked up a new award, from a short list of six dealerships, for Local Community and Environment.
Warren is keen to stress that the success in this new award belongs to the team at Mercedes-Benz in Milton Keynes. Warren said;” The team agree to every activity and take an active part in making our fund raising work. Through their energy and commitment we have supported a wide range of charities and activities including, Willen Hospice, MK Snap, Dragon Boat Race, Big Big Charity Bash, Coffee mornings, Jeans for Genes Day, Comic Relief, all generating funds and great fun for the team working together. We also have a continual programme to reduce our carbon footprint in every part of the business.”
Commenting on Anthony’s success Warren said,” Anthony is a highly committed and focussed individual who is target driven and passionate about winning. He is a great team player and admired and respected throughout the business. I consider myself very lucky to have Anthony as a key part of the best management team I have ever worked with in my career.”
