Motability offers three Schemes to help you obtain a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. They are:
- A three-year Contract Hire Scheme for New Vehicles
- A four, or five-year, Hire Purchase Scheme for New Vehicles
- A two, three, four or five-year, Hire Purchase Scheme for Approved Used Vehicles |
| Motability Contract Hire for New Vehicles. |
This Scheme offers peace of mind motoring, which provides the hire of a new Scheme vehicle from a Mercedes-Benz 'Motability' Accredited Retailers, in addition to:
- The use of the vehicle for the full length of the agreement
- Mileage allowance up to 45,000 miles. Mileage in excess of this will be charged at a single rate of 5p per mile
- Routine servicing maintenance and repairs
- Full Breakdown assistance for the vehicle provided by RAC
- Comprehensive insurance for up to two permitted drivers, including yourself
Please note: Any adaptations that are fitted to the vehicle must be removed when the agreement ends and the vehicle reinstated to its original condition.
Mercedes vehicles which are eligible for the Motability Contract Hire Scheme must be under insurance group 14 and not a convertible. |
| Motability Hire Purchase for New Vehicles. |
Special rates of hire purchase towards the cost of a new Mercedes-Benz.
- The car becomes yours at the end of the agreement
- You must arrange your own insurance, breakdown assistance (if required) and pay for general maintenance and repairs
- Adaptations do not need to be re-installed every three years
- Payments are spread over a four, or five year period
- Unrestricted use of the vehicle within the fully comprehensive insurance cover you obtain
- Use by any number of drivers accepted by the insurance company
- Use for business declared to, and accepted by, the insurance company |
| Motability Hire Purchase for Used Vehicles. |
Finance towards the cost of a used vehicle from a Mercedes-Benz 'Motability' Accredited Retailer. The vehicle must be less than five years old and have done less than 60,000 miles at the start of the agreement.
- The car becomes yours at the end of the agreement
- You must arrange your own insurance, breakdown assistance (if required) and pay for general maintenance and repairs
- Adaptations do not need to be re-installed every three years
- Unrestricted use of the vehicle within the fully comprehensive insurance cover you obtain
- Use by any number of drivers accepted by the insurance company
- Business use as agreed with the insurance company
To qualify for any of the above Motability Schemes, you must be in receipt of one the following benefits:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DLA)
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Currently driving a Government vehicle, trike or mini |
