When faced with slippery road surfaces or you need to brake in a hurry, Adaptive ESP® helps you maintain your grip in all weathers. The programme automatically measures the van´s current load, and reacts with just the right amount of force to suit the current driving situation. If for example a wheel starts to spin or threatens to lose traction and skid, sensors recognise this in a fraction of a second. Adaptive ESP® then automatically determines and implements the optimal control action.
Electronic brake force distribution (EBV) and active motor management support the driver, applying specific braking forces to each wheel in order to stabilise the vehicle. Adaptive ESP® prevents under- or over-steering in critical situations, noticeably improving both traction and driving stability. |
