Introducing Mercedes-Benz to You

We aim to prove that ‘good service begins at home’ thanks to a new scheme launched for the benefit of local Mercedes-Benz owners.

‘Mercedes to You’ is a mobile health check that sees a member of our After Sales team visit people’s homes or offices to inspect their car’s vital features and ensure the vehicle is in optimum working order. The service is completely free-of-charge and motorists do not even have to be an existing Tony Purslow customer to take advantage.

Appointments are arranged for our ‘Mercedes to You’ advisor to visit owners in an A-Class equipped with a STAR computer. Whilst a series of visual checks on items such as the lights, brakes and fluid levels are undertaken, the diagnostics machine confirms that everything is OK.

After 20 minutes, the customer is presented with a report highlighting the condition of their vehicle. If there are any problems, there is no obligation for any remedial work to be undertaken by ourselves, but a quote can be provided or the car can be booked in to be repaired if required.

“We want to look after our customers as best as we can and make sure that their cars are operating as safely and reliably as possible, whilst offering a service that enhances the experience of being a Mercedes-Benz owner,” said Paul Thrower, Aftersales Director for the Tony Purslow Group.

“It’s our belief that customers will like the convenience of ‘Mercedes to You’, the opportunity to talk to someone from the dealership about their car and the services we offer,” he added. “Most importantly though, they will appreciate the peace-of-mind that comes from knowing that their car has a clean bill of health.”

The first customer to sample the new service was Margaret Henwood, from Chineham in Basingstoke, who runs a nine-year-old A-Class.

“I thought the ‘Mercedes to You’ service was excellent,” said Mrs Henwood. “I knew exactly what would be happening and Kevin Stroud, the Advisor, even came to my place of work to carry out the check which was really convenient for me.

“Having the check undertaken by an official Mercedes-Benz retailer, who know everything there is to know about my car, certainly makes sense in my opinion,” she concluded.
