Since 2006, all new Mercedes-Benz trucks over 7.5 tonnes use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology in order to reduce emisson levels to the required limits imposed by the Euro 4 legislation.
Adblue is the non-toxic, water-based solution which is used as an operating fluid for this SCR technology by being injected into the exhaust system during combustion to reduce the emission of gases.
