The RDS-TMC (Radio Data System – Traffic Message Channel) works through the familiar Mercedes-Benz COMAND (Cockpit Management and Display) and Audio 50 APS units to update your routes. You’ll be alerted to traffic closures, accident or roadwork information, as it automatically diverts you around the obstacle before there’s a delay.
A number of our models are already fitted with this added feature but many customers can upgrade their current COMAND systems simply by purchasing a TMC-enabled navigation disc. It’s the latest in a long line of developments to COMAND which reinforces its position as a user-friendly way to control audio, navigation and mobile telephone calls.
The RDS-TMC helps keep both driver and passengers cool, calm and collected as potential delay situations are avoided on the journey, ensuring that Mercedes-Benz drivers have the finest, smoothest, most traffic-free driving experience on the road today.
Quite simply, it’s the only way to travel.
TMC upgrade prices vary according to the vehicle but start from £155 (inc. VAT).
