Mercedes-Benz Museum – for visitors

A great experience for small visitors

It goes without saying that we have always taken young visitors into consideration in developing the new museum’s concept, and that we have created special programs for children and youths in the different areas of the museum. If you visit the restaurant with your family, you’ll find a dish for children up to the age of eight at the price of one euro on the menu. And of course we have highchairs and baby food in glass jars for the little ones in store.
On their way through the museum, children and youths can listen to a special version of the audio guide’s explanation in German and English.
In short: programs for school groups
With the start of the 2006/2007 school year in September, the museum’s “club” will be opened. It provides space for the requirements of school groups and is complemented by didactic materials for teachers and students.
The club will be open Tuesday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. until 1.00 p.m. for school groups exclusively, offering seating for meals and separate cloakrooms. Once the school groups, for which reservations have been made in advance, have arrived, they are personally welcomed. They are given a personal introduction matched to their requirements and supported by films to tune them in to the tour of the exhibition, on which the teachers and students will go on their own. From the 2006/2007 school year, we will make didactic material available to teachers prior to the visit, enabling them to prepare teaching sessions on special themes which can be explained in greater detail when looking at selected exhibits on the tour. The program is developed on the basis of the curricula of the Land of Baden-Württemberg and adapted to school children aged between six and sixteen.
